As a Santa Monica High School student born and raised in the City of Santa Monica, I have always been connected to this community. Growing up I've always been active in after school programs. Now it's my goal to interview a group of non-profit organizations to learn more about their mission in our community.

I am 17 years old. I grew up in Los Angeles, mainly the Santa Monica area. Seeing as how Santa Monica is a beach town, I've taken a liking to (or should I say a "loving" to) the beach. My family calls me the ultimate beach bum. In my younger years, I developed a passion for the arts, including: dancing, acting, film, and of course writing. I've always been involved with any activity that had something to do with one of those. As I am getting older I hope to pursue a career in one if not in all of these hobbies of mine.

Hey, I'm a 20-year-old Chicana. I am a college student at a nearby college, double-majoring in Political Science and Chicana/o Studies. Born and raised in East Los Angeles. I am very involved in my community and what is happening in my society. I am a strong believer in Peace. I believe that it can be achieved if only one person at a time believes in it. I do a lot of volunteer work in my neighborhood. I work with youth in a nearby school, teaching them music and the indefinite power that it has.

I am 18 years old. I was born in Santa Monica but raised in Mar Vista. I grew up with two brothers and three sisters. I was raised by my dad alone since I was 7. I love animals and poetry. I even had a poem published that I wrote for my mom in a poetry book called "The Sound of Poetry." I want to be a writer but I also really want to be an animal law enforcement officer.

A Santa Monica College sophomore, I was raised in the sunny side of beautiful Santa Monica, where people from around the world would die to visit, just a short distance to see the sunset at the beach, feel the fresh breeze of the ocean go through my hair. I wouldn't go anywhere else than Santa Monica.

This is the blog of an inspired artist from Aguascalientes, Mexico named Jose A. My art was inspired by many different artists of different sorts: Estevan Oriol, the famous photographer from Los Angeles, graphic designer (and former graffiti writer) Munk, and Shepard Fairey, a political artist who uses wheat paste and some graphic design to express his politics and other views. I Love all art and I hope it will always be with me.

I'm currently attending Santa Monica High School. Being born and raised in Santa Monica helped me obtain the knowledge and skills that made me who I am today. I've learned many lessons in this city whether it was on the basketball court or on the streets. I like living here because of my family, friends, and the many opportunities.

I attend Santa Monica High School and have been a resident of Santa Monica for 10 years. I can call Santa Monica my home; it's a nice city where I can be safe and play safe. It's a unique city, and helped me obtain an entry-level position where I can contribute to my community.
