What is Santa Monica Connect?

Santa Monica Connect is a city-sponsored program that helps residents find the services and offerings that are already available to them.

The project connects residents with the people and programs with local non-profit organizations supported in part by the City of Santa Monica. These organizations include job assistance programs, health care programs, education, performing arts groups, artist residencies, museums and galleries, child care and assistance programs and more.

Santa Monica Connect links several elements:

  • Santa Monica's arts and cultural scene
More visual and performing artists, arts presenters, designers, architects, and film and music producers per capita can be found here than any other city in the state. The City of Santa Monica offers over 70 galleries; museums ranging from the avant garde to airplanes, doll houses to the best of American crafts; over a dozen theaters and performance spaces presenting a wide range of music, dance and cutting edge performance art; bookstores, photography, video, film and prize winning architecture. Get connected to the rich diversity of arts and culture in our city by browsing the blog and service directory, and subscribing to The Palette, our free weekly arts-and-culture email newsletter.
  • A safety net and a tapestry — Human services in Santa Monica
Our $7.4 million Human Services Grants Program funds local non-profit organizations that provide services that address the needs of a wide range of community members, including lower-income, young children and families, older youth, people who are homeless or have a disability, and older adults. Sign up for The Connection to learn more about them, read the blog postings, or find a service provider under Here's Who's Connected.
  • Life Long Learning
Santa Monica is a proud Life Long Learning Community — a community committed to strengthening educational planning for all ages and stages of life with learning opportunities that enhance the personal, social and professional goals of all residents. Through the blog, service provider listings and additional links, this site provides direct access to the vast array of educational resources in Santa Monica for all ages and goals.
